Basil Hummus

1 Cup boiled chickpeas

1/2 Cup Basil Leaves

Juice of 1 lime

4-5 cloves of garlic

Ishka Farms Sea Salt (to taste)

1 tbsp Tahina

3/4 cup aquafaba
For topping:
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp zattar
- 2-3 Cherry Tomatoes
- 2-3 Capers
- 1 tsp pinenuts
- 1 tsp Chickpeas
How to Prepare
- Soak the chickpeas overnight and boil in a pressure cooker with some salt until soft.
- Leave them to cool to room temperature and store in the refrigerator for a couple hours to chill.
- To a blender add the chickpeas, basil, Ishka Farms sea salt, tahina, lime juice, aquafaba and garlic cloves.
- Blend to a smooth paste. Add more aquafaba if needed.
- Transfer to a bowl.
- Top with olive oil, zattar, pine nuts, chickpeas, Capers and cherry tomatoes. Or any other toppings of your choice.
Refrigerate for an hour and enjoy!!
